Entrepreneurs Think Tank
This interest group helps each of us discover what’s next. New Entrepreneurs is for women who are ready to reinvent themselves or find a new direction. If you’ve dreamed of turning an idea or pastime or passion into a business ... writing a blog or a song ... or are just curious about finding a new path for your interests, explore with us. We share our skills and ideas to help each other expand creatively and open our perspective. Meetings focus on subjects like identifying worthwhile ideas, finding an audience, networking, budget-wise marketing and speaking skills. We meet in member homes.
Foto Fun is made up of members who are interested in photography and enjoy taking pictures. We plan our monthly outings to reflect our interesting in taking pictures and going to interesting places, but do not have a set day or week for our outings. We have members who use their mobile phones or tablets, as well as those who have more sophisticated cameras. All that is required is a sense of adventure and a camera.
Have you been thinking of researching your ancestors or have you already started a family tree but are having problems finding those ancestors farther back? Join the new Genealogy Interest Group. Meetings will be held on the third Tuesday of each month, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Anne Arundel County Public Library system has a wealth of genealogical resources. Bring a brown bag lunch and drink, and your laptop or iPad to look up topics online during our discussions. Meetings include time to work in small groups to further our research.

Music Lovers’ Circle
We do not hold regularly scheduled meetings. Information on area professional and volunteer music organizations, performances, festivals and special events is sent out on a monthly basis. Special meetups led by MLC volunteers may also be held at local concerts, cabarets, clubs, churches, schools, theaters or at a members' home. The focus of this Interest Group is to foster awareness in a wide variety of musical entertainment available in the Annapolis community. The 2019-20 theme is "Music in Today's Changing World".
If you sew, knit, crochet, mend, darn, smock, or do needlepoint, cross-stitch or tapestry, or need a little help with interpreting patterns, etc., come to our needlework group meetings every first and third Thursday mornings, all twelve months of the year. We meet at each other’s houses from 9:30 am to noon. This is very relaxing and a great way to step out of the hustle bustle of our busy lives.
Recollections meets on the second Monday of each month at 2 p.m. They share short pieces that they have written from their own experiences or insights. The topic is selected by the host, and members come to the meeting with a 2-3 page written response, having interpreted the prompt in whatever way they chose, and read them to the group. These musings or recollections are from childhood, adolescence and adulthood and allow members to share themselves with others in a safe environment. All things shared by others are agreed to be held in confidence. The focus is not on writing style or expertise. There is no critiquing of the writing, only sharing with supportive friends. New members are not required to write a paper the first time they visit.
Spanish Conversation Group
This is a lively group of women, many of whom are native speakers of Spanish. Others are married to native speakers of Spanish, have lived in Spanish speaking countries for several years, or want to refresh their language skills. We meet for lunch at local Latin American restaurants to enjoy each other’s company and to speak Spanish. Once on the mailing list, you will be notified of future get-togethers.
