Plan and GoAfter HoursWe plan a variety of meetups for early evening and weekends - including happy hours, book clubs, walks, meals, and other events. Prior to the event, the location, time and other details are sent to members expressing an interest. Please contact us if you would like to be on our email list! Fun LunchThe Fun Lunch Group typically meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 12:00 pm to enjoy food, wine, and good fellowship. Historically, events held at members’ homes involved a theme established by the hostess, with attendees bringing a dish to fit the theme. Lunches can be indoors or outdoors. It is anticipated that the group may evolve to include meeting at restaurants and using other avenues and formats to socialize. Community OutreachCommunity Outreach raises funds for programs in Anne Arundel County helping women and children. We support Anne Arundel Medical Center Abuse and Domestic Violence Program, a scholarship at Anne Arundel Community College for women who are working toward re-entering the workplace, and the Lighthouse Shelter. We also support the work of Harmony House and other efforts in the community that fit our mission. The Community Outreach group meets the third Tuesday of each month. Members are advised of the meeting time after a venue has been reserved. Gad AboutsCalling all New Annapolitans who are interested in getting out and exploring our greater metropolitan area together! Day trips are being planned every other month by the Co-Chairs for October, December, February, April, and June, allowing time in between for members to suggest and help coordinate additional trips to their liking. We are blessed to live in an area rich with historical and cultural amenities. Gad Abouts is your ticket to experiencing them with other interested New Annapolitans! To learn details of trips in the works, or to suggest trips for future months, join our email group list! COVID POLICY: What's Next...?What's Next is designed for any NA member ready to create a new chapter in her/his life. Participants may include those who are experiencing a change point, or anticipating one; those hoping to discover a new focus or activity; and those who feel a need to regroup because of the pandemic, or a personal situation, has disrupted their lives. The group will serve as a think tank to discover and explore options for expanding horizons, and adding new dimensions for each of us. Collectively we will be our own best resource of ideas on how to achieve the goals we set for ourselves, giving and receiving input in a supportive environment. Guests with special expertise may be invited to participate in some monthly meetings. |
