Languages

The French Conversation Interest Group meets on the second Friday of the month from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm at a member’s home. The group is open to anyone who enjoys conversing in French, and we welcome anyone who is either a native French speaker, has studied the language in school or college, or learned it while living in a French-speaking country. We will discuss a pre-assigned topic every month in French, so the only requirement is to have enough language experience to follow and contribute to the discussion.  

We meet the third Friday of each month at a member's home from 10:30-12:00. We welcome anyone who speaks German as their first language, having learned it in school or college, or whilst living in a German speaking country. An email with details will be sent the week before the meeting.

Spanish Conversation

We are a diverse group of members who meet for lunch the second Friday of each month. Some of our members are native Spanish speakers, and the rest of us have learned it along our way in life.  Fluency in Spanish is not required, but we recommend that participants are able to follow mid-level conversational Spanish.

We meet at Spanish/Latino restaurants around the Annapolis area when possible, otherwise we hold virtual meetings via Zoom. We send details for the meeting to members who are on the Spanish Conversation email list, including the start time, as we get closer to the meeting date. Over the years, we have become like a family, and we welcome anyone interested to join us.
